ComGuards

While their very existence was one of the best kept secrets in the Inner Sphere until 3030, the ComGuards have come to be known as a fearsome and efficient force in the modern era. It was they who brought the clan invasion to a halt in 3052.

I'll admit that the basic ComGuards paint scheme is not all that exciting, but I wanted to have at least one lance painted up in the colors (such as they are) of this army. In keeping with ComGuard doctrine, this lance is composed of six battlemechs rather than the usual four.

Both the black knight and the flashman have undergone some conversion work. I've added a Games Workshop™ space marine power sword to the 'knight in order to make it look like the ComGuard-refitted Black Knight model.

The conversion on the flashman is a bit more subtle. I severed the 'mech's hip joints so that I could move the torso further back into alignment with the 'mech's legs. In my opinion the change makes it look more like the original artwork in the technical readout 2750 and is less silly looking to boot.
